Part 1:
The day began at 5 a.m.
We drove about 5 hours to Carthage and Nauvoo.
Our first stop was the Carthage Jail vistor's Center.
We watched a nice video and took a tour of the jail.
It was very special to learn the history of Carthage.

Part 2:
After Carthage jail we headed to Keokuk to check in at our hotel and grab lunch.
Then we went to historic Nauvoo.
This little town is so adorable and I immediately fell in love.
We cruised around for a bit and then went for a walk.
Nauvoo is full of restored shops and homes that you can tour and see demonstrations.
We went to the bakery and the general store/pharmacy.
We also went shopping at the cute stores on Main Street.
Then we went for a drive to the bridge and were lucky we didn't get "barged".
After, we visted Grandma Julie and Richard.
Once we were back at the hotel Jen, MG, and I headed to the pool.
