Lexie + Mitchell

What a gorgeous and special wedding day to celebrate the marriage of Lexie and Mitchell. As you can tell, she was absolutely stunning.  It was the most lovely, fairy tale kind of wedding. We had the best time! We are so excited for them to start their new life together.

Sunday Funday

Our first Sunday home from the summer we had dinner at the park with our Fred Family. It was the best reunion. We had so much fun catching up with everyone and playing wiffle ball.

Pit Stop

On our drive home from North Carolina we stopped at my grandparents house for a 2 day pit stop. It was such a nice break from the car. We enjoyed stretching our legs and relaxing before we hit the road again. As always, my grandma kept us well fed with her delicious cooking and Jose Peppers. We had so much fun visiting grandma Betty, getting recipes, playing cards, and pool. We always have a good time with my grandparents, we love visiting them. It was the perfect pit stop to rejuvenate us for the last long leg of our road trip.

For Tyler's 29th birthday we went to Duke Gardens, played spike ball, went swimming, ate dinner, and of course blew out candles and had cheesecake. It was a fun-filled day celebrating our Tyler. Jade and I are so lucky he was born. He is the best daddy and husband around.

Duke Class

Our friend, Liz, teaches Abnormal Psychology at Duke and she let us sit in on a class. I was beyond excited and it was easily one of my most favorite things I did this summer. I've always dreamed about what it would be like to go to a prestigious school back east. So, when Liz offered, you better bet I didn't take this opportunity lightly. Even though it was just a one class, one time kind of thing, I got a taste of fulfilling my dream. I was on cloud nine and pretended to be a Duke student for a day and it was awesome.

Ninth Street

Ninth Street is a darling little area in Durham, NC that we absolutely adore. The street is lined with unique shops and yummy restaurants.

University of North Carolina

One evening, Jenn and I decided to explore the campus of the University of North Carolina. We mostly checked out their athletic department. It was fun to see the different fields, track, and pool. There were so many people around using the facilities for camps or personal exercise. This campus had such a different feel and atmosphere than Duke. It definitely felt more relaxed and fun/easy going. After, we ate dinner at one of my favorite childhood restaurants, Boston Market. I hadn't eaten there since I was in probably elementary school & it tasted just as good as I'd remembered it. The sky that night was beautiful - the cherry on top to a wonderful night.
