So Cold.

This window and one on the other side provided the only ventilation for the jail.

The walls are four feet thick.

The stone piece just above the door is original stone from the actual jail.

This jail is not just any jail. It is sacred ground. Joseph Smith recieved revelation there, providing us with precious versus of the Doctrine & Covenants.
