The Tricks of Time

i

Somehow

manage to always

trick

myself into thinking

projects won't take

"that long"

..it will be easy & quick.

That is most always not the case.

i made these bookmarks

earlier this week for

a presentation in my

positive psycology class.

i really did enjoy making them

i just didn't enjoy the fact that

i tricked myself into

thinking it would be

quick & easy.

i am

glad i made them though.

well.

Hot Tubs & Snowballs

We celebrated ML King's birthday by going to

the Crowley Cabin for the weekend.

It was very cozy & relaxing.

Jake LOVES the hot tub.

While we soaked we threw snowballs.

We played lots of games.

Played in the snow.

ate. ate. & ate some more.

Went sledding.

Enjoyed the fire.

& had a ball.

Circus Dog

Razz has developed quite

the fun personality.

Sometimes he gets really hyper

and likes to be

Circus Dog

he runs around the house

and under things

as fast as he can.

Its like he is running an

obstacle course.

It is so funny.

Internship

This week I started my first internship at

Division of Child and Family Services [DCFS].

So far, I have loved it and I am really excited to learn

from all the amazing people there.

Everyone is so nice and willing to help.

[That's probably why they are social workers]

Working with DCFS this week has made me really happy

for choosing to become a social worker.

It will be a lot of work always,

but the point is I will be helping people.

I am excited to continue learning from the

experiences ahead.

Weekend Adventures

Last weekend was a fun one.

it consisted of:

Shopping with some of my closest girlfriends

Having carne asada at our house

Thanks to Antonio & Amy-it was so delicious!

A yummy breakfast with the girls at Kneaders

A day full of errands

and evening at Olive Garden & the movie house.

We ran into some of our friends from Kansas at Olive Garden.

It was such a delight to see Kyle & Nicole.

We saw Black Swan. Not so good.

Although, Natalie Portman did a great job of acting.

Goodbye 2010

{2010} will always have a special place in my heart.

It's the year I married my best friend and became a wife.

Not only was I married, but it was a year full of firsts,

excitement, peace, love, growth, and much, much more.

It was lovely. .Idyllic.

I can't believe it has already come and gone.

It's January 6th for crying out loud.

Needless to say, time flies.

In {2011} I have some goals to:

slow down

simplify

read more

learn

be prepared

exercise

serve others

create

share

&

put my sewing machine to use

....

I am so excited to discover and explore in 2011.
