The beard is gone & so is the hair.

Tyler decided to go from one extreme to the other.

He was in mourning for a couple days for the beard-not the hair, he loves a buzzed head.

I, however, was in mourning for the hair. I love his longer hair.

I loved the beard too, but it's nice to see his face again.

Here is to a nice "clean cut" look!

Valentines

I was supposed to work on Valentines day so we celebrated a day early by going to Red Lobster for some shrimp and crab. On Valentines morning we had a nice little breakfast thanks to Gandolfo's. Later that night {since I didn't have to work} we had Danny and Hannah over and made tostada pizza inspired by CPK and then went to a movie at Wynsong. It was a sweet little Valentines.

Life Lately

{+} Razz was neutered recently- he was high for a couple days but now he is his same sweet self.

I was really worried he was going to get fat and depressed but it didn't happen, thank goodness!

{+} We had a Super Bowl party at the Crowley's with friends and family. It was a great night!

I am still dreaming about the orange white chocolate chip cookies JD brought.

{+} Debbie & I decorated valentines sugar cookies with Angie, Jake, & Mason.

{+} I have been crafting a lot lately & I love it- mostly valentines crafts

but the heart maps of everywhere we've traveled together has been my favorite.

{+} Tyler has been growing out his beard since November & has reached record length.

{+} I have been working part time/on call at Mountainland Headstart and I am really enjoying it.

{+} Tyler went on a golf trip to St. George for Jeff's bachelor party.

{+} We enjoyed the Jackson's wedding and we couldn't be more exited and happy for them!

{+} We are loving our ward and have made some really great new friends!

{+} I am kind of beginning to start training for a half marathon- just can't quite commit. We will see..

Tyler and his dad installed these new shelves in our laundry room & let me just say it

has been a dream ever since! This simple shelving has given me so much more storage.

The shelves also act as a drying rack, which mean no more clothes strung through out the house.

The cabinets to the right of my washer now house all of my craft supplies.

I cannot express how nice it is to finally have my crafting world located in a

convient location. I access my crafting supplies every day, multiple times a day so it is

pure bliss going to these cabinets versus having it buried in a dark closet.

I have been wanting to paint the guest bedroom ever since I moved into the condost,

but haven't gotten around to it until now.

I put it off for so long because I was terribly intimidated by paint

& now that it's done, I have no idea why.

This was my first paint job ever & I am thrilled with the results.

The color in real life is a million times better than what the pictures portray.

It's absolutely perfect. I couldn't ask for a closer color to what I had envisioned.

One wall is painted with stripes and the rest are solid blue. Mint Whisper, to be exact.

I am in love with the stripes.

If you are contemplating painting stripes, do it.

takes me back to my childhood & the olympics.

The very first time I skated was with my dear friend Ali.

We were natural pros, this time however, I was a little rusty on the ice.

After I got the hang of it again, it was a blast!

It was jake's first time skating and he did great! He loved running and sliding on the ice.

Leon, Jen, and Mary are all amazing at gliding on the ice.

They were so nice to give me some pointers.

We had such a fun day & it made for some really great exercise!

There was an extra ticket & Tyler was out of town, so I was the perfect candidate.

We laughed a lot. Brian Regan is really funny.

After the show we went to Settebello for some yummy pizza and gelato.

Sweet N' Savory

I savor the unexpected date nights.

Tyler and I haven't seen much of each other this month.

so, I really enjoyed our sweet little outing a few nights ago.

We tried a new restaurant close to our house called Sweet N' Savory.

It was delicious. We both loved our meals and it was so much food for such a good price.

We can't wait to go back!

Puerto Vallarta

Tyler went to Mexico with some guys from work for a little sunshine & relaxation.

The highlight of the trip was riding donkeys, the zip line, & the fact that the trip was free.

Tyler said the zip line was such a blast & he loved every minute of it.

& Tyler loved getting a massage on the beach for $10.

Tyler learned he really doesn't like authentic Mexican food. It just grosses him out.

It was cloudy most of the time but, Tyler still managed to come back with a nice little tan.

All in all, it was such a fun trip for Tyler & I'm so glad he got to go on it.

We woke up early and headed over to Lori's Diner for a delicious breakfast then we set off to explore the city. This wasn't my first time to SF, but it was my first time to ride the trolly and visit the Golden Gate Bridge. I loved them both. We had such a fun day walking the shops and streets, dreaming we lived in one of the darling houses. We had such a good time and many laughs. We were so sad to leave our favorite city, but hopefully we can make this a tradition. That night we went to Joclyn's parent's house for dinner & it was so yummy. We had a blast playing with her nieces and nephews and getting to know more of the Birchall clan. It was a very quick trip with lots of driving, but worth every second! It was so much fun and I am so glad we decided to take this spontaneous trip!

Dinner was a little disappointing, but we still had such a fun night!

Ron has Season Floor tickets.

The game was a close one, going into overtime and all, but the Jazz unfortunately lost.

Golf Trip

Tyler and his brother, Clark, went on a golf trip last week to Vegas & Saint George.

They enjoyed the warm weather, good food, playing craps, and golfing everyday.

I met them down in Saint George on Friday so I could watch them play in a golf tournament at Coral Canyon. They both played very well and had a lot of fun!

They rest of the time we hung out with my family, hot tubbed, played games,

visited with Grandma Woman and Gpa Richard, and as always ate a lot of food!

Since the weather has been unusually warm for January my friends and I decided to soak it in and go for a little hike on the Y trail. None of us had ever been before so it was a fun adventure for us.

It turned out to be a lot of fun! Probably one of my most favorite New Year's Eves ever!

We laughed so hard all night long, enjoyed a delicious steak & crab meal, got our flick on,

Last week we took a quick little road trip to Idaho to visit one of Tyler's most favorite mission companions.

We were so excited to meet up with him and his sweet family. They will be

moving to Boston pretty soon because Andy was accepted to Harvard Business School

& we aren't sure when we will get to see them next.

yeah, Harvard. How many people do you know go to Harvard!?

Needless to say, we are glad we made the trip. It was so fun visiting with them!

They have the most darling little boy and baby girl. So fun.

This marks our first Christmas with the Fredrickson & Crowley clan & boy was it special!

We had church at 11am so we waited till it was over to open our presents.

It was kind of fun waiting just a bit longer, it made the Christmas magic last all day.

The Christmas program at church was beautiful and helped us to focus on the true meaning of Christmas.

We all were so blessed this year and very, very grateful for our families and the true reason

to celebrate, our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Last weekend we had an {Early Christmas} in Saint George with

my side of the family. It was a great extended weekend.

Tyler golfed everyday. He was in heaven.

I must admit, the weather was oh so nice, but not nice enough

to convince me to move there {Tyler really, really wants to}

Anyway, we watched Christmas movies all weekend,

had a very nice Christmas dinner--brisket, potatoes, green beans, rolls, and orange rolls

It was so good. We basically stuffed our faces all weekend.

We also decorated a gingerbread house, shopped, baked, and lounged around.

The O Holy Night inspiration on pinterest was originally screen printed on canvas

& since we aren't screen printers we adapted the idea to wood.

Marianne saw a painted wood project on Me Oh My, so that's we did!

It is as easy as buy, cut, sand, stain, and paint.

Tyler and I were in heaven eating at our favorite Mexican restaurant, Jose Pepper's.

It is tradition for our family to meet up with my mom's childhood best friends & their families

whenever we are in Kansas. This time we decided to go bowling, ride go-carts, and have lunch.

We had a blast burning rubber on the track and knocking pins down with these people.

It was definitely one of the highlights of the trip.

The steak, the crab, the shrimp, it was all to die for.

I got my first steak grilling lesson from my dad & can't wait to try it out.

Thanksgiving day was filled with lots of eating, family, football,

visiting, horses, playing games, lots of laughing, hugging, and picture taking.

The last time all of us were together was 13 years ago, so we had a lot of catching up to do.

It was so good to see everyone and to meet new editions.

It was especially fun to celebrate our Grandma Betty's birthday together.

My mom made a sweet little video of lots and lots of family pictures for our grandma

& it was so much fun to see old pictures and how much everyone has changed over the years.

It was a very special Thanksgiving for our family and will be one to remember!

When we arrived to Kansas my sweet grandma had a great big lunch

prepared for us. We all gorged ourselves, the food was so good.

We visited my great grandma at the rehabilitation center

she is temporarily staying at {she just had a hip replacement}.

The rest of the afternoon we lounged at my grandparents,

played football, pool, and card games.

& did lots of catching up with family.

Winter in Venice

While we were in vegas we checked out the Venetian's Christmas display

{Winter in Venice}. It was pretty neat. They had a live Christmas show playing outside with singing

and dancing, an ice skating rink, laser show, and of course a tree lighting.

The performers were entertaining and reminded me of a mini cirque du soleil act.

The tree was so pretty.

Then we watched the fountains at the Bellagio--I had never stopped to actually watch it before.

We also checked out the Bellagio Conservatory.

It is always fun to see how they have their gardens pruned.

We were a little bummed it was still decorated for thanksgiving/fall, but glad they didn't jump the gun

on decorating for Christmas {since thanksgiving hadn't happened yet}.

In my defense it was dark out and I was probably looking at my phone when I walked into him.

It was a fun little night in Vegas before heading off to Kansas!

Marianne = Most thoughtful host ever!

From the moment we walked into Mare's darling SLC apartment,

us girls felt like we were on an episode of Sex in the City.

Marianne was such a gracious host and gave us serious special treatment.

She was so thoughtful. She centered the evening around things she is grateful for,

in lieu of Thanksgiving. It was so cute and so fun.

We ate delicious chicken chili, corn bread, pomegranate salad, and a pumpkin dessert.

As you can see, she provided us with a fun little Pocahontas {Indian Princess} headband craft.

We all loved the headband idea and it totally set the mood for the night. Fun & Spunky!

:We have been loving matinees lately.

:Tyler found a new sushi place & went twice last week with friends.

:I played Nanny McFred for a few days while Carly was at her best friends wedding in CA.

:We love hanging out with the Peterson's & Smith's & KJ.

:I enjoyed being an Indian Princess for the night.

:Tyler golfed almost everyday last week-glad he got it in before the snow!

:I had dinner ready and on the table when Tyler got home for the first time last week -- & probably the last{I know he loved it, but it's just not my thing}.

:We dropped the ball and didn't take Razz out, so he peed on our bed. Ha! {He really is a good boy}

i have been hoping it would snow all week[so unlike me].

when i looked out my window this morning i was giddy to see the dusted mountain tops & trees.

Razz and i loved playing in the snow with the neighbor kids on our morning walk today.

the kids were so cute. they were all so excited.

& i LOVED watching Razz run in it really fast and seeing the snow fling up behind him.

i am a happy girl today.

A couple weekends ago Dillan and his friend Billy came and stayed with us.

It is always so fun to have Dillan and his friends around. We love his friends and his friends love Tyler.

Friday, we hung out at the house, ate some pizza, & the boys went bowling.

Saturday, we went to an elite dinner party. It was really fun to see everyone from the summer.

Brett didn't disappoint and spoiled all the guys.

Tyler came home with some new golf clubs that he is so excited about! It is so very fun for him.

The Elite managers took a trip to [CABO WABO] & had a blast!

Tyler came home with a very nice tan and a new love for Mexico.

The guys hung at the beach, road jet skis, played sand volleyball,

watched the world series, golfed, and relaxed.

& they had beautiful weather the whole time!

So glad they got to take this trip.

They all work so hard, they sure deserve it!

We are so happy we got to have this cute little girl over last week.

Loved playing with Razz.

Is quite the little photographer. She would say "look at me" every time before snapping a photo.

Never stopped smiling or laughing. She got such a kick out of playing fetch or "catch" with Razz.

Liked reading her books. She is so smart.

Easy going.

The Munson's sure know how to throw a party!

We had so much fun celebrating Halloween with all these lovely people.

The costumes were great and it was so much fun to see everyone in character.

We ate all kinds of yummy food, played games, and laughed away.

It was the best {Halloween Bash} ever!

Football Playoffs

Unfortunately, Dixie lost to Juan Diego.

{Juan Diego is the team picked to win State}

Brock played very well so it was still so fun to watch.

It was so much fun to see the darling Orton family at this game as well.

We are glad they could come.

We are so happy Brock decided to play football this year

but so sad it's his senior year because we loved watching.

Tyler was out of town so my family kidnapped me and took me to Saint George

for the weekend. The weather was beautiful as ever. We spent saturday afternoon

watching Mike's football game and then we had Doug, Gretchen, and Grandpa over for dinner.

It was a very fun weekend with my family but it went by way too quickly.

Halloween Fun

Carly and I had a little Halloween party for the kids she nannies for

and a few of their friends. It was such a blast!

The kids decorated sugar cookies, and made popcorn hands,

drank witches brew and played bingo.

Stewart Falls

The Fredrickson Clan went for a hike up Stewart Falls.

It was the most gorgeous fall day ever & the weather was perfect.

Fall is most definitely my favorite time of the year.

We decided we have to make this hike an annual fall tradition.

There is no better way to enjoy fall time than hiking the beautiful mountains.

We took Razz a long for the hike and he loved every minute of it.

I am so impressed that he made it both ways without having to be carried.

When we got home he passed out though. He was a tired boy.

Little Jake was a trooper too. He is such a good hiker and trekked right along.

I am so glad we went on this hike. The leaves & colors were so amazing.

Tennis Craving

a couple weekends ago my brother, brock, & i played tennis with my grandpa.

well my grandpa watched and gave us a few pointers.

it was such a beautiful afternoon & such a fun way to spend time

with our grandpa. i think he really enjoyed watching us.

he told us old tennis stories & showed us a thing or two on the court.

since then, i have been craving to play tennis everyday but never do.

hopefully i will before it gets too cold.

Thriller

we ate at the Pie.

We went with the Munson's & the Prignano's.

We ordered way too much food. But it was so good.

Thriller was so much fun!

I loved way too many numbers to mention all of them,

but a couple favorites were of course {Thriller},

the egyptian one, and the frankenstein one.

It was so much fun to see all of the cool costumes

and I loved watching my friend Audrey dance her heart out.

Blue Bell Meets Utah

If you know us, you know we LOVE Blue Bell Ice Cream.

{like our mouths water when you mention it}

You can imagine our excitement when we learned that the new

Ike's Ice Cream Parlor at the Riverwooods sells only Blue Bell.

{Blue Bell is usually only found in the mid-west/southern region of this country}

We are so excited about this. We went twice last week.

It makes for the sweetest ending to any date night.

Gardner Village

We love Gardner Village and try to go every year. {3 years & counting}.

We ate at the Neighborhood Cafe. The yummy soup warmed us right up.

Then we walked the village admiring all the lovely decorations & witches.

We of course browsed the shops and had a darling time.

Next year, I hope to go as witches.

UVU Golf

Tyler's brother, Clark, is on the {UVU Golf} team this year.

He has been doing very well and we all have enjoyed being able to watch him.

I am new to this golf thing & this was my first time ever on a golf course.

It was fun to learn about the game and see how it all works.

{I figure it's something worth learning about since my husband goes everyday}

Can't wait to walk the greens again.

I opted to paint my pumpkin this year because I am terrible at carving.

While we were in Saint George we had a little

halloween dinner-pumkin carving party.

It was so much fun and got us all in the halloween spirit.

We had worm pie {spaghetti pie}, keep the vampires away garlic bread,

stinky caesar salad, and witches brew.

After dinner, we carved pumpkins around the fire pit

and enjoyed halloween tunes.

It was Cedar's homecoming so it was a little sad when Dixie took the win,

but it was a lot of fun to see all of Cedar's homecoming traditions.

This year Mike started playing in a tackle football league and he loves it!!

His team is undefeated.

Senior Night

All the Seniors and their parents got to walk through the {D}

in honor of senior night.

All was going well till the second half.

There was a fire on the baseball field {right behind the fball field} during the game

and it caused the lights to shut off.

We were stuck in the dark for quite a bit,

but luckily they got the lights back on so the boys could finish.

It made for a very long game.

Dixie pulled off another win!

They have been doing so good.

This is Brock's first year playing and he starts as a tight end.

We are so proud of him and so happy he decided to play this year.

It has been fun to watch him & it was a good excuse to

spend the last two weekends in sunny St. George.

We have been loving being home.

Don't get us wrong we loved LA, but there is just nothing like home sweet home.

We have been enjoying the cooler weather, the mountains, and the essence of fall.

It's the perfect time for evening walks and trips to the park.

We have been busy, busy hanging with family and friends we missed so much while we were gone.

Needless to say, it is so good to be home.

D&L {visit} LA

We picked D& L {Debbie & Leon} up from the airport and then whisked them

off to our favorite fast food restaurant, RAISING CANES.

Then we went home and played with Razz.

D & L were so excited to see him and he was so excited to see them.

It was a great reunion.

...

The next day we enjoyed our morning exercise, the pool, New Orleans,

some knocking area + Katrina devastation, and the bayou.

We had a tasty lunch at the Hard Rock, which resulted in me having a food baby all day.

I was really sad I didn't get to see Channing himself, but at least I got to see his trailer.

It was a very quick {visit} for D&L.

We wish they would have had more time in LA,

but we are very grateful for their willingness

to help move us back to Utah quickly and safely.

We made great time on the trek home.

We drove about 19 hours the first day & 6 hours the second day.

Boy, oh boy is it good to be home!

We can't believe our last weekend in Louisiana has come and gone.

It has been such a wonderful summer for our little family.

We spent our last weekend eating at BJ's, shopping, seeing Moneyball, packing and lounging.

On Sunday evening we decided to go on a stroll around the capitol and watch the sunset.

It was the perfect evening, the autumn air felt so good on our skin and we saw a lot of friendly faces.

It was even romantic. We love sunsets.

A fun and relaxing weekend has gotten us geared up for the big trek back to Utah.

So excited to get back to family and friends!

Dillan loves it, Tyler likes it too..

but I think I decided I'm not a huge fan.

It always kills my arm. I left feeling like I had a broken elbow.

Plus, I always leave feeling so dirty and in need of a shower.

We worked up an appetite bowling

so we headed over to Cheeburger Cheeburger.

Dillan ordered the 1 pound burger.

it was HUGE and he ate every bite.

YUCK.

I don't know how someone eats that much meat at one time.

Anyway, it was fun little night out with hubs & bubs.

What a wonderful way to spend our Labor Day Weekend.

We had such a fun trip!

We ate way too much food. It was just too good we couldn't stop!

We loved going to the Alabama game & loved the crimson tide spirit.

It was so lovely to visit Tyler's mission.

It was the first time he has been back since he served,

which was about 7 years ago.

Crazy how time flies.

Alabama has stolen our hearts and we can't wait to go back!

Alabama Road Trip: Day 3 & 4

The Archibald Family, well some of them at least.

It was so much fun to see the Archibald's!

They have a lovely home filled with warmth and love.

They even let us play with their pet possum and pet ducks.

It was a very fun visit!

The Tew Family!

These three little girls are just darling. I wanted to take them away with us.

We had a great time visiting and laughing with Jim, Amy, and the girls.

They have the most darling little dogs and one of them just couldn't get enough of Dillan. ha

It was so wonderful to see them all.

....

Regretfully, We didn't take any pictures on Sunday{day 4}.

We were able to attend Sacrament Meeting at one of Tyler's old wards.

We saw many more families Tyler Cherishes; it was such a nice little reunion.

After Church we spent most of the day relaxing at our hotel.

That evening we had supper at Uncle Doug's restaurant, Firebird's Wood Fire Grill.

It was delicious beyond measure!

We are so grateful for the wonderful meal we indulged in.

All of it was scrumptious, but the Creme Brulée Cheesecake was divine!

If you go there you must try it.

Alabama Road Trip: Day 2

Before we headed to Tennessee for the day we stopped by the Temple,

saw the Mission President's home{where Tyler spent countless Sundays},

and saw another old apartment of Tyler's.

....

Once we got to Tennessee we were on the hunt to find this sweet sister.

Dillan ♥'s ferrets! Ha!

We spent all day searching for Miss Eva Kent.

We were determined to find her & after some

investigating, we indeed found her.

It was well worth our efforts.

It was so wonderful to visit with Sister Kent.

She loves Tyler and was so excited to see "Elder Fred"

We still can't believe we ended up finding her.

Thank goodness for neighbors & old friends.

Alabama Road Trip: Day 1

On our way to Alabama we stopped to

have lunch with one of Dillan's very best friends

who is serving a mission in Mississippi.

It was so much fun to see these two boys together again.

Dillan was so excited to see Elder {Mike} Sharp.

That's all he would talk about the week leading up to our trip.

It was a very great lunch date

& definitely got our trip started off right.

....

Once we made it to Alabama

Tyler showed us the hot spots of Tuscaloosa.

We drove around University of Alabama's Campus,

played at the park Tyler always went to on his mission,

and went to a couple of his old apartments.

We checked out the devastation from

the tornado that happened back in April.

We couldn't believe all the damage.

It is so crazy how powerful

and violent storms can be.

Both of our computers crashed within two day of each other a couple weeks ago.

We lost everything and no, neither of our computers were backed up.

I have been saying for months I need to go get an external hard rive.

Shame on me for not getting around to it.

But, we are hopeful upon our return home we will be able to get our files recovered.

....

Since then,

we celebrated Tyler's birthday with a nice dinner at home and some cheesecake.

He was spoiled all week long with gifts and love from friends and family.

Ron, Angie, and Jake came to town.

We went on the gator tour. It was a scorcher but worth seeing our guide give

the huge gator a kiss right on the mouth.

Then, of course, we had to take them to see the fine city of New Orleans.

We went to Cafe Du Monde & roamed the french quarters {I love the french quarters}.

Bourben street was wild. There were so many entertaining street performers.

We even fell for some young kids tap dancing, they basically stole our money.

New Orleans on a saturday night is a completely different world.

We are so glad we got to experience it with the Crowley Clan.
